Foundation Scholarships
Welcome to STARS, the Cochise College Foundation’s web-based scholarship application and evaluation program. The application cycle is now closed for the 2008-2009 academic year. Applicants will be notified about scholarships they do and do not receive via email.
Some organizations periodically offer scholarships through a separate application. Information about other Cochise College scholarships and financial aid also is available online.
About STARS
The STARS scholarship application gives you access to nearly 100 scholarships. The application works with Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, and it is recommended that you obtain a college identification number and a working email address prior to applying.
The next scholarship application cycle will begin in late fall or early spring, with recipients selected for the 2009-2010 school year.
If you are a new user, register by clicking on the “Start Here” button. If you completed an application last year, you may update it and apply for new scholarships by entering your user name and password.
Be sure to read the Tips for Applying, and complete all of the information to the best of your ability. If you do not have an answer for a required field, enter N/A.
Please note that you can upload digital copies of your supporting documentation (transcripts, recommendation letter, essay, etc.) into the software, or you can mail this documentation to the Cochise College Foundation office, c/o Scholarship Processing, 4190 W. Highway 80, Douglas, AZ 85607. If you do not provide the requested documentation, you will not be considered for a scholarship. You must send your most recent unofficial transcripts, even if you sent them last year.
The system will provide a list of scholarships that best match your profile. While you might not meet the criteria for each scholarship listed, you may apply for all scholarships for which you do qualify. Read the criteria carefully and do not apply for scholarships for which you do not qualify.
