Counseling and Advising

Cochise College counselors and advisors are available to help you develop an educational plan that will assist you in meeting your educational goals. They also can refer you to College services and assist in developing decision-making skills and personal strengths that allow you to succeed. Career planning and related testing also are available.

The following students must be advised every semester:

  • Degree- and certificate-seeking students who have earned less than 12 credits at Cochise College
  • Students on non-satisfactory progress/suspension (less than a 2.00 grade point average)
  • International students (attending on an F-1 visa)
  • Students taking ESL courses
  • High school students
  • New transfer students
  • Students who scored lower than 79 on the Accuplacer reading test or who have not completed RDG 122 with a C or better.

Registering Online
Students registering online must have completed 12 credits at Cochise College or have the approval of an advisor.

If, when registering online, you are requested to enter an alternate PIN, then you have not yet met all the advising requirements and must see or call an advisor.
