Career Services Center

Cochise College's Career Services Center (CSC) provides a variety of services to help students who are looking for employment while attending college, who are graduating, who are looking for career opportunities, or who are seeking workplace experience. Services are provided by a friendly and professional staff on a walk-in or appointment basis.

Student Employment                                                                 The CSC maintains postings of current job openings on and off campus and work study positions. Students can receive more detailed information about these job opportunities and receive a referral to the employer by coming into the center.

Community Service
The Community Service program is a student employment program where students are paid to work in qualified schools within the community. These qualified schools include local elementary, middle or high schools. Students work as tutors in language arts and mathematical literacy activities. Community Service program students are paid from federal work study funds and must meet with the CSC to determine if they are eligible to receive funding for this program.

Career Fairs and Special Events                                                    The CSC sponsor career fairs annually. We can also arrange for workshops and on-campus recruiting. For more information on these and other special events, please contact the career development specialist on your campus.

Job Search Skills
Need help with resume writing, interview skills, and successful job-search techniques? Let the CSC help you! These services are offered on an individual basis.

Cooperative Education
The Cooperative Education (co-op) program provides opportunities to supplement coursework with practical work experience related to the students' educational and occupational objectives. The student can earn college credit for working part time in an area directly related to their educational program.

A special feature of the Cooperative Education program is collaboration with Walt Disney World. Students who are selected are placed in a paid internship located at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Students earn six units of cooperative education credit upon successful completion of their internship.
