SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. --- The Cochise Women's Basketball team extended their season-long winning streak to nine Saturday afternoon, traveling to San Bernardino, California to take on Community Christian College. From start-to-finish, the Apaches held a comfortable lead over the Lady Saints, jumping out to a 28-12 lead after the first quarter, then holding CCC scoreless in the second quarter to take a 64-12 lead at halftime.

 

Cochise outscored CCC 57-22 in the second half to win their 9th straight game 121-34. Sophomore Micayla Silas led the way for the Apaches, scoring 17 points with seven assists and four rebounds. Freshman Naelle Ekome followed with 14 points off of the bench and collecting 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Six Cochise Women's Basketball team members scored in double-figures Saturday, including going 9 for 11 at the free throw line as a team.
