PRESCOTT, Ariz. --- The Cochise Women's Basketball team extended their winning streak to 11 this weekend, defeating Yavapai College handily on the road 83-56. The Apaches led the entirety of the game, jumping out to a 31-17 lead at the end of the first quarter, then heading into the locker rooms at the half leading the Roughriders 49-30. 

Cochise pulled away for good in the second half, outscoring YC 34-26 and finishing with a final score of 83-56.

 

Sophomore Karolina Padilla led all scorers with 22 points and collected eight rebounds with three assists and four steals. Micayla Silas followed with 13 points and seven assists.

Cochise Women's Basketball (16-6,8-2) will be on the road this week, first stopping at Central Arizona College (11-11,5-6) on Wednesday, February 5th for a 5:30 pm tip-off, then traveling to Henderson, NV to take on College of Southern Nevada (15-5,5-4) on Friday, February 7th (6:00 pm) and Saturday, February 8th (1:00 pm).
