THATCHER, Ariz. — The Cochise College Apache's Men's Basketball team took to the road this Saturday to take on the league-leading Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters on their home court on the campus of Eastern Arizona College.

 

Eastern Arizona took a 39-35 lead into the locker room at halftime only to see their lead expand to double digits it the second half. The Monsters held Cochise to 27 second-half points to take the 75-62 victory

 

Cochise was led by Sophomore forward MJ Clegg, who had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Cochise moves to 18-8 overall and 10-4 in Region I play.

The Apaches will be back at home to take on Community Christian College on Wednesday night in a conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm in the Stronghold Gymnasium.
