Youth will have the opportunity to explore their creativity at the annual Youth Arts Festival hosted by Cochise College on Saturday, March 1, at the Sierra Vista Campus. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public.
At the Youth Arts Festival, youth of all ages can engage in their creativity and imagination
and become inspired through various interactive activities, including 2D and 3D art,
music, poetry, and live pop-up performances throughout the day. Families are encouraged
to attend and participate, though youth must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Upon arrival, attendees can check in at the Student Union for a map of activities
and other information. The Union Cafe will be open throughout the event.
“The festival is held to encourage youth to explore the arts with curiosity and imagination,”
said JenMarie Zeleznak, event organizer and art instructor at Cochise College. “It
is also a free and fun-filled outing for families to spend quality time together exploring
the arts and our beautiful campus.”
This year’s event will be led by Cochise College faculty, staff, student clubs, and
community partners, providing hands-on experiences. The event continues to grow in
popularity, with last year’s event attracting more than 250 participants from across
Cochise County.
Community partners contributing to the festival include:
