Cochise College invites the public to explore aviation careers during its Aviation Open House at the Douglas Campus on Thursday, April 24. From 9 a.m. to noon, attendees can tour the aviation facilities, interact with faculty and staff, participate in flight simulations, and experience introductory airplane flights.
Located on the far north side of the Douglas Campus in the 1800 Building, the college’s aviation facilities include an observation area, a runway, classrooms, and offices designed for comprehensive learning for aspiring pilots. These resources offer students practical skills essential for pursuing professional pilot careers.
Guests interested in introductory airplane flights or flight simulation experiences should RSVP early by calling (520) 417-4114 or email to burnettb@cochise.edu as spots are limited.
Additionally, a pancake breakfast will be available from 7 to 9 a.m., in conjunction with a fly-in event.
Anyone needing an accommodation to attend should contact the college's Accessibility Services office by calling (520) 515-5399, at least 72 hours before the event.
Cochise College's aviation program is recognized regionally for excellence in aviation education known for its professional pilot training, offering students the skills and knowledge to soar in their aviation careers.
