Cochise College recently recognized several staff members for their outstanding dedication and service, highlighting their commitment to student success and excellence.
Angelita “Angie” Bustamante, TRiO Student Support Services director, was honored for a decade of service as an advisor for the Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of PTK, presented Bustamante with a 10-year service pin, acknowledging her mentorship and leadership in guiding students toward academic and professional success.
Cochise Kudos Award Recipients
The college also recognized two staff members with the Cochise Kudos Award, which honors employees for exemplary behavior using the criteria of the college’s Guiding Statement values: Collaboration, Encouragement, Civility, Innovation and Service.
Cara Elkins, assistant director of nursing at the Downtown Center, was awarded for her dedication to faculty and students in the Nursing program. She was recognized for fostering a supportive learning environment and ensuring students receive the education and guidance necessary for success in their careers.
Terry Ortiz, registration technician at the Douglas Campus, was honored for her exceptional customer service and commitment to the college. Known for her positive, solution-oriented approach, Ortiz has played a key role in assisting students and faculty, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
