Paying for College

Scholarship applications now open at Cochise College

Article

Students looking to ease the cost of college have scholarship opportunities available. Cochise College is now accepting scholarship applications. Financial aid officials are encouraging students to apply early and take advantage of financial aid and scholarships.

Unlike loans, scholarships do not need to be repaid and are awarded based of a range of criteria. Each year, the college Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to support student success. The scholarships listed below are just a few of the many opportunities available to students:

Senior Grad Scholarship - Cochise County high school seniors qualify to receive a $500 annual scholarship.

Sulphur Springs Valley Cooperative (SSVEC) Scholarship - SSVEC members enrolled in part time of full time can apply.

Benjamin and Astrid Blom Memorial Scholarship - Nursing students enrolled in nine or more credits with a 2.5 GPA or higher may apply.

Thunderbird Field II Veteran Memorial Scholarship- Aviation students can pursue this scholarship.

Students can explore many more scholarships and submit applications through the Scholarship Universe dashboard available on the college's financial aid webpage at www.cochise.edu/fa .

Students or parents with questions or need assistance with the financial aid process or Scholarship Universe dashboard can contact the Financial Aid office at (520) 515-5417 or email inquiries to finaid@cochise.edu.
