February is Career Technical Education (CTE) month and Cochise College joins community college’s nationwide in recognizing programs that connect learning in the classroom with real world skills and in demand careers.
CTE programs at Cochise College play an important role in preparing students for today’s workforce. CTE programs are built to connect classroom learning with real-world skills and industry credentials that lead to meaningful careers. Programs include automotive, HVAC, residential construction and welding.
The curriculum is designed in close collaboration with industry advisors, ensuring students complete programs with relevant skills that align with workforce needs across Cochise County, Arizona and nationally. CTE programs provide practical, high-demand training that leads directly to employment, career advancement or lifelong learning.
Cochise College offers certificates and degrees for students to gain skills and earn certification in some of the county’s most critical and desirable industries. Some certifications can be completed in less than one year.
Throughout CTE month, the college encourages students, families and educators to engage with faculty and advisors to understand what the college offers. There are many scholarships available.
