Register for Classes
Students who have completed less than 15 Cochise College credits must make an appointment
with an advisor to register for classes. To schedule an advising appointment please
email advising@cochise.edu or call Sierra Vista Advising Office (520) 515-5483 or Douglas Advising Office (520) 417-4038. You can also visit the Academic Advising page for more information
Need to Apply? If you have not enrolled in a class with Cochise College in the past
two years, you will need to reapply to the college. Visit the Admissions page and select re-admit/returning to get started.
Students who have completed more than 15 credits and are in good academic standing,
have no holds, and have met prerequisites for classes can register for classes on
the web or in-person during the fall, spring, and summer registration periods. Students
can register for classes up until the no penalty drop/add deadline for the semester
they are taking courses in.
If you do not qualify for financial aid, or if your financial aid has not yet been
awarded, you will need to pay for your classes or set up a payment plan by the published
deadlines. There is no fee to enroll in a payment plan.

Important Semester Information
There may be penalties to dropping classes after the semester begins. Visit the Refund Page for important refund information!
Spring 2025 Semester
- 16-week classes begin January 13 and end May 12. Last day to register for 16-week is January 17.
- 1st 8-week classes begin January 13 and end March 7. Last day to register for 1st 8-week is January 15.
- 2nd 8-week classes begin March 17 and end May 12. Last day to register for 2nd 8-week is March 19.
Summer 2025 Semester
- 8-week classes begin May 27 and end July 22. Last day to register for summer classes is May 29.
Fall 2025 Semester
- 16-week classes begin August 18 and end December 15. Last day to register for 16-week is August 22.
- 1st 8-week classes begin August 18 and end October 14. Last day to register for 1st 8-week is August 20.
- 2nd 8-week classes begin October 20 and end December 15. Last day to register for 2nd 8-week is October 22.
How to Register for Classes
Expand All +MyDegreePlan is an online tool that provides a list of courses you need to register for to complete your degree or certificate. You can also monitor your academic progress toward your degree and certificate completion.
- View your list of classes by logging into your MyCochise Student Portal and clicking on the MyDegreePlan link.
After visiting your MyDegreePlan to understand what classes to take, you can search for the class offerings by term (semester), subject and more. You can also learn more about the college’s course delivery methods on the class schedule page.
- Visit the class schedule page to see the class list with times and locations.
- Log into your MyCochise Student Portal account.
- Click on the register link under Quick Access Links on the Student View homepage to
begin registering for classes.
- Class dates and times are subject to change. Continue to monitor your Cochise College student email account for important information.
Students must finalize their class schedule before the no penalty add/drop deadline. It is a good idea to log into your schedule to make sure it is correct the evening before classes start. Classroom locations are subject to change and sometimes classes can be canceled due to limited enrollment. Adding/Dropping Classes
Please Note: Students are encouraged to talk to their academic and financial aid advisors before
adding/dropping courses as dropping courses can affect degree completion and financial
aid standing. Students are responsible to pay for their tuition and fees. Visit the
refund request page for tuition liability deadlines.
Classes that are dropped after the no penalty add/drop deadline may not be eligible
for a full refund. Visit the refund request webpage for tuition liability deadlines.
Students who wish to add classes to their schedule must register the day before class
begins.
