Whether you are working to help with educational or living expenses while attending college, or you just want to add working experience to your education, Cochise College provides numerous resources to students.

On Campus Job Opportunities

Cochise College currently administers a student employment program that is funded by both the federal government (Federal Work-Study, or FWS) and Cochise College’s institutional funds.

Cochise College students are eligible for student employment only if the following criteria are met:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher or it must be their first semester at Cochise College.
  • Enrollment in a minimum of six credit units at Cochise College during the fall or spring semesters and/or three credit units during the summer.
  • Students attending Cochise College on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment, a minimum enrollment of 12 credit units during the fall or spring semesters and/or six credit units during the summer.

Please note: Student employment is limited to eight semesters of employment or three academic years and summer terms. Semesters are defined as Fall, Spring and Summer. Eligibility does not guarantee employment, and student employment positions are not based on financial need.

Student employees are allowed to work up to 16 hours per week during enrolled semesters. Specific requirements can be found on each job description.

Follow these instructions to set up your timesheet link in your MyCochise Portal.

After Being Logged in for a While, I am Being Asked to Login to One of the Cochise College Account Links.

If you get the Cochise College Account (CC Account) login screen go back to the MyCochise tab and re-click the link previously used to refresh your account. For security reasons, CC Account links will log users out after 20 minutes of inactivity in its page, independent from MyCochise activity.

I am a Work Study, How Do I Access My Time Sheet?

  1. Log into MyCochise
  2. Copy this URL:  https://ocs2.cochise.edu:6052/BANPROD/twbkwbis.P_GenMenu?name=pmenu.P_MainMnu
  3. Click Add under navigation
  4. Give the Link a title
  5. Paste URL
  6. Click Save Links
  7. Button will always be available under Favorites unless deleted.

Purdue University website has provided an online resume workshop for the public to use. It has useful tips on all aspects of resume writing. This award-winning guide to resume writing from the Rockport Institute website will teach you to write a resume equal to one done by a top-notch professional writer. It offers examples; format choices; help writing the objective, the summary and other sections; as well as samples of excellent resume writing.

Cover Letters

University of Wisconsin – Madison’s Writing Center website provides an exceptional overview of cover letters. Here you will find what to include, how to organize, as well as writing and formatting tips to best help you illustrate your skills and capabilities to the hiring manager.

Trinity College Career Services offers examples of cover letters, explains the layout and gives helpful hints to make the cover letter more professional. Your cover letter should reflect your skills, experience, training, and personality and how they match the job for which you are applying.
