Classrooms Reimagined: AI for Educators
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the workforce, with 80% of U.S. jobs already impacted and up to 20% of workers expected to rely on AI for half of their tasks in the near future. Yet, while AI skills are becoming critical for career readiness, most educators feel unprepared to teach these tools effectively. At Cochise College, faculty and students alike see the potential of Generative AI (GenAI) to reshape education, but uncertainty around ethics, fairness, workforce alignment, and practical integration remains a challenge.
In partnership with a grant from the SSVEC Foundation, Cochise College Faculty Support Center is launching Classrooms Reimagined: AI for Educators. This 1.5-year program offers resources, training, and a supportive community to help educators confidently and responsibly integrate GenAI into their teaching. By fostering AI literacy, ethical awareness, and instructional innovation, we aim to prepare our 16,000 learners—and their instructors—for meaningful careers in an AI-driven future. This initiative aligns with our mission to provide inclusive, forward-thinking education while addressing the urgent need for generative AI proficiency in classrooms and beyond.
